September Feature

Project Permitting

For the month of September, we thought we would go a different route for the feature. So for the month of September, we are focusing on PROJECT PERMITTING.

Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design offers permitting expediting services not only for our clients and projects, but for anyone who has a project in need of permitting services. The permitting process is becoming increasingly difficult and we can help you through it. Miriam Ade in our office heads up our permitting department and has established relationships with the city reviewers that she uses to help get your permit pushed through the process. Miriam can put together the entire permit submittal package together as well as keep track of the day to day activities and reviews of your project for the fastest results.

MS Fundraising Continues

Thanks to all for your support and donations to the National MS society but fund raising isn’t over yet. Our Collaboration brew event was this past Saturday September 8th at Busted Sandal Brewing and raised almost $12,000! Thank you to all who supported.

We are currently doing a “Bike MS Round Up” program sponsored by Las Palapas restaurant. Through September 30th you can go into any Las Palapas location and ask them to “Round Up” your bill for MS. For example if your bill is $6.18 and you round up you will pay $7.00 and $0.82 will go to our Team fund raising. You can donate whatever you like and on September 11, 13, 25 and 27 they are sponsoring Bike MS days. Tell them you support Bike MS and 20% of your total bill will be donated!!! Go out and get some tacos and help us raise funds for MS.

Focus on Current Projects

Projects that we are currently working on include a new event center on Toepperwein Road, Little Caesar’s Pizza in San Antonio, multiple locations for Bill Miller Bar-B-Q restaurants, and several new veterinary projects.

We are working on a new daycare center, a new laundromat facility, two new commercial shell buildings and a new cafe.

Projects currently in design, construction document phase or under construction include a remodel for St. Francis Vet Clinic and the Animal Defense League, several commercial shell buildings and new locations for Bill Miller.

Finally, we are working on a number of finish out projects in San Antonio as well as Outtakes cafes in a number of locations in Texas, and Nationwide. We are pursuing other projects that include tenant finish out projects, veterinary facilities, medical and dental offices, restaurants, commercial offices and office warehouse facilities. Focus on Employees

Miriam Ade is our office administrator and bookkeeper. She handles all our administrative and bookkeeping work here at the office. She has also developed an expertise working on permitting services for the firm and it’s clients as well as for other builders, owners and developers.

We are happy to announce the addition of Cameron Quintanilla to our firm.  Cameron is studying architecture at UTSA and will graduate in December and will be assisting with architectural work.

Raul Ramirez is a graduate of Texas A&M University and has stepped right in to assist with projects. Raul is assisting with all commercial office projects as well as some Sketch Up models.

Arturo Rivera is a graduate of UTSA and has been working in architecture for a couple of years.  Arturo is assisting with all commercial office projects.

Ruby Petri is an architecture graduate of UTSA and has been working in architecture and interior design for about ten years.  She is assisting with commercial offices and space planning projects.

Brian Wiggins is a senior project manager for Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. and has been working in our San Antonio office for over fifteen years. Brian handles a number of our clinic projects, commercial offices, restaurant and space planning projects. He is currently working on Medical, commercial office, space planning and restaurant projects for Bill Miller Bar-B-Q and Laguna Madre Seafood.

Stephen J. Kramer is the owner and founder of Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. Steve graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio and from Texas Tech University in Lubbock with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. After working for 5 years at other architectural firms Steve formed Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. in April of 1988. From it’s beginnings at the kitchen table of the Kramer home and one client, the firm has grown over the 25 years it has been in business to 6 employees located in our San Antonio based office. We currently specialize in commercial, retail, medical, dental, veterinary and restaurant projects but also do a wide variety of work including a small amount of custom residential projects. We currently work on over 100 projects annually and have completed thousands of projects in the many years we have been in business.
