SOUTH TEXAS URGENT CARE OF AMERICA
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
Our featured project of the month is The Quality Urgent Care of America medical clinic located at Loop 1604 and Potranco Road. The building was designed for Dr. Nimesh Patel and is the third location for Quality Urgent Care. The other two locations are on 281 North at Redland Road, and on FM 3009 in Schertz.
The building was built by Malitz Construction, and is approximately 5,500 square feet. It features a patient waiting and reception area along with six exam rooms and specialized procedure areas. The exterior of the building is a painted stucco parapet wall with a low sloped roof. The stone wainscot and arched front provide decorative accents to the building, and the covered entry allow for patient drop-off.
Quality Urgent Care is a walk in medical clinic that provides treatment for common conditions and minor injuries for both adults and children. Quality Urgent Care can provide medical care for various illnesses as well as provide digital x-rays, common labs and blood work on site.

Focus on Current Projects
Projects that we are currently working on include a new restaurant locations for Bill Miller Bar-B-Q and Laguna Madre Seafood, office developments in Cibolo TX and Gruene TX, VK Orthodontics Office in San Antonio, two locations for Legends Health Care in Houston, and an ENT office for Dr. Marc Franklin, General practice office for Dr. Jay Gruhlkey and a Pediatric office for Dr. Anna Boecker all in New Braunfels.
We are working on a new medical office for Bandera Family Health Care and a second location for Pinnacle Kids Academy Daycare center in San Antonio. We have also been working on a new Medical office building in Westover Hills for the Seven Oaks Women's Center Practice and a speculative medical office in the Westover Medical Park Development.
We have an addition and remodel to D & D Farm and Ranch in Seguin, Tx as well as an addition and remodel to the Alamo Heights Pet Clinic, an addition to the Bexar County JP Precinct 4 offices, and an new attorney's office in Boerne, Tx.
The Schertz Parkway Professional Plaza is an ongoing medical development and includes offices for the Northeast OB/GYN Associates, NE Endocrinology Associates and Northeast Pediatrics in the two completed buildings on site, as well as 6 future buildings planned for phase II of the 7 acre project.
Projects currently under construction include a speculative office building on Bandera Road, a new location for Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care, a new location for Quality Urgent Care of America, and a Cardiology Office for Dr. Guillermo Reyes in San Antonio.
Finally, we are working on a number of small finish out projects in San Antonio as well as Outtakes cafes in a number of locations in Texas and Nationwide. We are pursuing other projects that include tenant finish out projects, veterinary facilities, medical and dental offices, restaurants, commercial offices and office warehouse facilities. Focus on Employees
Kristen Kurtz is our Office manager/ Bookkeeper. She will be transitioning into this position over the next few months and we are happy to have her take over as our administrative person here at the office. She will also be working on permitting services for the firm and it's clients as well as for other builders, owners and developers.
Jordan Farhart works as a designer specializing interiors, material and color selection, lighting, plumbing fixture and hardware selections as well as furniture and art. Jordan graduated in May of 2009 from Texas State University with a Bachelors degree in Science and Family Services and a Major in Interior Design. We have worked with Jordan on the Good Sports Outlet, the Emergency Pet Center, Northeast OB/GYN associates, Northeast Endocrinology and Northeast Pediatrics.
Erick Rios is our architectural Intern at the firm and has been training and gaining experience toward his goal of becoming a licensed architect while assisting on a variety of architectural projects. Erick has been taking on more repsonsibilities and is now filling the roll of a junior project manager. Erick has completed his Masters Degree in Architecture at UTSA.
Brian Wiggins is a senior project manager for Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. and has been workingin our San Antonio office for over twelve years. Brian handles a number of our clinic projects, commercial offices, restaurant and space planning projects. He is currently working on Mecial, commercial office, space planning and restaurant projects of Bill Miller Bar-B-Q.
Stephen J. Kramer is the owner and founder of Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. Steve graduated from MacArthur High School in San Antonio and from Texas Tech University in Lubbock with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. After working for 5 years at other architectural firms Steve formed Stephen J. Kramer Architecture + Design, Inc. in April of 1988. From it's beginnings at the kitchen table of the Kramer home and one client, the firm has grown over the 22 years it has been in business to 4 employees located in our San Antonio based office. Wecurrently specialize in commercial, retail, medical, dental, veterinary and restaurant projects but also do a wide variety of work including a small amount of custom residential projects. We currently work on over 100 projects annually and have completed thousands of projects in the many years we have been in business.
